Training Animators: Darwinstaff began in 1992 when a group of friends decided to pool their experience and found a new tourist entertainment agency.
The choice of the name “Darwin” was inspired by Darwinstaff, because the aim has always been to evolve.
But above all to grow one of the most dynamic jobs in the world of tourism or that of the entertainer.
Training Animators: the first course for tourist animators in 1992
With the company's operational headquarters in Florence, our first training course for Tourist entertainers.
The first edition took place in the Cavriglia Natural Park, surrounded by nature, far from everything and everyone.
In those days there were no mobile phones and internet, but in that context, bison, bears, llamas and lots of green!
3 full-immersion weeks for 20 rigorously selected youngsters, guided by the skilful hand of our teachers, Brunero, Lella, Daniela and GB.
The programme of the first training course for animators included theatre improvisation, dance theatre, communication techniques, and team building activities.
Everything necessary, then, to turn aspiring entertainers into real entertainers.
After completing the course for tourist animator, all resources were placed in hotels such as the G.H Chia Laguna.
In later editions, friends like Franco Godi, Carlo Monni and Cristiano Militello to confront and discuss with the children.
Our method today
25 years have passed since then.
Many animators, villages and constructive experiences, through which we have continuously evolved, developing training techniques in line with the times, capable of transforming an often unfortunately underpaid job into a serious and adequately paid profession.
Only by offering an adequate training service to our animators and consequently professional figures to hotels, we can aspire to the much-vaunted Italian excellence supported by the right economic reward.
We have a lot of faith in the new generations and, even though they very often only communicate digitally nowadays, we are convinced that the spirit and desire for new adventures is still the same.
The difference is that today it is possible to train and express oneself all over the world: Spain, Greece, Caribbean just to name a few of the best destinations.
Special thanks are due first and foremost to all the our students from 1992 onwards, to all our collaborators, partners, friends, to the facilities where we have operated and continue to operate, to the guests and finally to our families.
Without each of them, all this would not have been and would not be possible.
